Conference season launched last week for me with a trip down to Austin, TX to speak at the Modern Governance Summit.  I was excited to speak on a panel with Michael Volkov which was then moderated by my friend and mentor, Ellen Hunt.  We had a great discussion about the role of compliance in creating a positive corporate culture and the role of the Board of Directors in fostering such a culture and supporting compliance.

This week, I'm off to San Francisco where I've been invited to speak and moderate a panel on Regulatory Compliance Developments as part of the Practicing Law Institute's (PLI's) annual "Pocket MBA" program.  Will be great to reconnect with colleagues there and enjoy a few days in my old stomping grounds (I lived there for a couple of years in my 20's).

Next month its down to Phoenix where I am serving as one of the "Track Chairs" for the Risk Track of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE)'s annual Compliance and Ethics Institute. I will also be speaking as part of a few different panels related to ESG and compliance.  Really looking forward to connecting with friends and colleagues I haven't seen since before the pandemic!
